What happens to my system if you go out of business?

Let’s assume that for some reason, hopefully due to winning lottery tickets, Geotherm is out of business and not available to directly serve our customers.  If this were to occur, there are several ways customers can feel comfortable that they will not be put into a difficult situation with no help if something were to happen to their geothermal or solar systems.

The most important layer of protection is the quality of the installation and professionalism of the documentation.  One of the trademarks that has made Geotherm the highest rated renewable energy provider in New York State is the design quality and commitment to detail during the installation of our systems.  With clean engineering and consistent installation standards, a Geotherm system is intuitive, reliable and follows the guidelines provided by the manufacturers of the equipment used.  This approach means that any service professional can understand the intentions of the system design and does not need to be specifically trained by Geotherm to work on the equipment.

Proficient labeling, thoughtful installation and consistent standards provide the platform for better service if needed.  All systems also have extensive documentation available with the history of the installation and service.  Geotherm does not rely on a sticker placed on the equipment with a single line to scribble a brief note of the equipment history.  Our standard practice is to fully document the installation performance metrics and all service details with full size worksheets.  This paperwork, along with the equipment manuals are left onsite in the literature holder or scanned for electronic access.

Geotherm also only works with the top manufacturers of equipment with a long-track record of reliability and customer support.  This is important to ensure that an additional layer of customer service is available if Geotherm cannot handle the requests directly.  Brands like WaterFurnace, Enertech, Enphase and Mitsubishi are the industry leaders with an extensive support network.  Customers can contact representatives from these companies that have been in business for many years with great warranty support.

Geotherm is proud to have left our stamp on the industry and inspired others to go above and beyond for their customers.  As a founding member of NY-GEO that helps set the standards for the industry, a larger group of trained professionals has been developed to support systems.  If Geotherm is unable to take care of a customer, our extensive network of installers, service technicians and equipment manufacturers are available to help.  Anyone working on a Geotherm system will know that they are dealing with a well-designed, expertly installed and fully documented project.
